All I want to do is have the location for a feature default to the INSTALLDIR of the main application, but to give the user the option of moving it in the custom setup dialog.
I've tried setting properties, I've tried setting directories, I've tried with actions, I've tried with scripts, I've tried moving them all over the sequence and I've tried swearing at it till I'm blue in the face but I cannot get it to work...
has anyone got this to work ?? if so PLEEEASE tell me how!

the dot means the directory is initially the same as INSTALLDIR.
Set the Directory_ of FeatureA and the the Directory_ of the components within FeatureA to FEATUREADIRECTORY.
The custom setup setup will allow FEATUREADIRECTORY to be changed independently of INSTALLDIR.
