I may be in the wrong forum, but this is the best i thought.
I have a product, some demo version that expires after some 30 days.
I want that if after 30 days of installation (when product has expired), some user tries to uninstall & reinstall the product setup/product is able to identify that the product was earlier installed & expired on this system. How can i achieve this.
I think, while installation i can create a file somewhere on system and then read that file to achieve what is said above. But i think its not the best way. Can someone help identify a better approach?

The InstallShield 11.5 has something like this "Trialware".
See here http://support.insta...lshield/faq.asp.
This will be the recommended way.
You can do something yourself but the subject is big and tricky... I have ideas how to do it.
