Hi guys !
Can I, in my basic msi project , set the order of installation of two selected subfutures of the same feature, ie, I have this design of my setup :
"SQL"
|---->"Engine"
|---->"SQL Management"
"Application"
|---->"Client"
|---->"Server"
If I select, the subfeatures "Engine" of the features "SQL", the subfeatures "SQL Management" of the features "SQL", the subfeatures "Server" of the features "Application":
I want to be installed:
in first time, the subfeatures "Engine" of the features "SQL"
(here, I will launch a CA that will install in silent mode SQL server 2008, and then set a property with the name of the SQL instance newly installed )
in second time, the subfeatures "SQL Management" of the features "SQL"
in third time, the subfeatures "Server" of the features "Application"
(here, i want to trigger a CA with the SQL login and SQL browser dialogs and then proceed to normal installation of the subfeatures)
have suggestions for me ???

Windows Installer doesn't actually install Features, it installs Components. As I understand it, unfortunately, you cannot reliably control the order in which it installs Components. I don't really have any suggestions for you, though. Sorry.

I associated with a component for each subfeature.
here, the new question is :
Can I set the order of installation of a component before another??
There are no properties to prioritize the installation of a component?
Can I insert a custom Action between the installations of components??How do it ?
